Wes Mitchell started his DJ career while studying Political Science at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. How does someone who was Majoring in Political Science become a DJ? One elective class gone right, that’s how! After becoming a radio DJ personality on the campus radio station, he began working with a college friend at the KLAK Sound and Light Show providing DJ and MC services for weddings, corporate events, class reunions, and birthdays. It was during this time where Wes discovered how fun and rewarding the DJ business could be for him. He could let his fun, high energy personality shine through in every facet of the job.
Wes decided to take a hiatus from the DJ business when he moved to the Dallas area, but could not get away from the what he loved as he continually found himself as the MC at weddings over the years. After talking with Nate Nelson, a long time college friend who is also a LeForce DJ, Wes dusted off his mic and DJ skills and brought his talents to Dallas and LeForce Entertainment. His commitment to tailoring your special day, whatever that may be, into the perfect day is what sets him apart.

What has been your favorite moment as a DJ thus far?
I was recently the DJ/MC for an active Marine Corp Captain. Last minute, I was asked to say something to recognize all of the active and former military personnel in attendance by the bride. Being in front of about 120 people and watching the 10-15 service men in attendance stand up and then get a standing ovation from everyone there was something I will never forget.
